This kid ain’t that bad. Good camera presence. What you need to do is brainstorm and try to find anyway that you as students & those in student government can find any type of leverage they have over School Admn ( who might cow-tow to CA bureaucrats) and CA legislators and then EXPLOIT-THAT leverage. It’s a dirty game and you have to do whatever it takes, young men and women!!! How far are you willing to go?
I think we should all come together and tax alcohol, tobacco and oil companies furthermore! Allocate these funds for education in all levels!! High school was a joke!Higher education is NOT A RIGHT and those who cannot achieve a raised 2.4 is it? I think they should raise it to a minimum 3.0!! They are too many hedonists in this campus and this needs to stop. These people should look into trade schools and leave the universities to those devoted to ppl serious about education and research!
That is true. I do not support the budget cuts. But I do support merit based state colleges. To say the education is a right is a philosophically ungrounded statement though.
I see these comments as a forum for good discussion. I’m Tyler Boden, and all I want is progress. The idea that education is a privilege is interesting, and I agree to some extent – at the Higher Education level. Admission is limited, so we need to give it to those that earn it…The problem is, K-12 education in many areas is not effective enough to prepare students for Higher Ed, so the CSU has taken a lot of steps in the past to recognize that fact and help the situation. ……
Case in Point: The problem of education doesn’t stop at the Higher Ed level, it’s everywhere. It won’t be easy to fix the problems with all the deficits at the state level, but I think it’s possible. And it’s up to US – the people with yound minds and fresh perspectives – to figure out how it will be done. If it’s left up to legislators, it won’t happen. Thoughts?
If you don’t want to be surrounded by party people, maybe you should have gone to a different school. You must have your reasons for being at state but don’t make people think that your here because you didn’t try hard enough to get into a school with high academic standards.
I believe your comment only reinforces my point, but if you require an excuse from me, here: I moved across the country to live with the person that I’m now married to, so I was eager to transfer to a college that I was certain wouldn’t turn me down and would fit into our budget since this state is so freaking expensive to live in. He’s in the stationed here (military), so it’s not like we could be picky about location. SDSU is also a good research school…
…and since I intend to become a professor, it’s a valuable resource. With this in mind, just imagine how awesome SDSU could be if it were comprised mainly of academically minded people! You suggest I go find a better university, but I’m suggesting that the univerisity I’m enrolled in become better for me. Selfish? A little. But this is a university, for crying out loud. Doesn’t anyone care about what that’s supposed to mean anymore? Medieval history, people.

9 minutes? i hate these people who drag a 2 min topic out. “i know….” “now lets not confuse…lets face it…drive thru…restaurants will drain your bank…my kitchen completely empty…got to the register…comapnies are now putting coupons…” stupid bitch!
the easy source of glucose runs out and the body will have to rely on fat reserves first and then protein from muscle and on to organs. Toxic compounds would start to build up.
You would feel lathargic and probably would get really bad breath lol.

When I attended I was a nonresident also. My tuition was 1300 per semester but this was in 2005. Its most likely has risen.

“University officials said that the art exhibit is billed as a family event and that this series was inappropriate.” Art exhibits are not necessarily family friendly. Any art department that is relegating its students to family friendly is doing them a disservice.

I have been there two years ago. Budapest is an expensive city. Their currency, forint, don't worth much. You had better to take euros, which is easier to change. I stayed at the NH Hotel, in Pest. it is not expensive and very good.
